S.U.N. – Skydra’s Unity Through Nourishment is a youth-led solidarity initiative dedicated to fighting food insecurity while strengthening community bonds across Skydra, Greece.

Driven by compassion and the belief that no one should face hunger alone, the project brings together volunteers of all ages to collect supplies, prepare nutritious meals, and distribute them through a community breadline to the people who need them most.

The project was created in response to the growing number of vulnerable groups affected by economic instability and the long-term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many residents, especially refugees, homeless individuals, and low-income families, struggle to secure daily meals. At the same time, young people in Skydra are seeking meaningful ways to contribute to their community.

S.U.N. connects these realities into one mission: to nourish bodies, uplift spirits, and unite generations through acts of solidarity. We believe that a warm meal can be more than food, it can be dignity, support, and hope. Through collective action, awareness-raising, and community engagement, the S.U.N. Initiative works to build a Skydra where compassion guides action, and no one is left behind. Together, we stand for nourishment, inclusion, and unity.
